Victorian days 2022

The Victorian Days were a success this year out in Marstrand.
We had around 15,000 visitors, and there were many of us who made the days possible.
Some newcomers were the theater group Happy Clown and the juggler Hugo Rosvall, it was great to have you with us!

An extra thank you to all of you who have been with us for several years now, you keep us going!

You can now watch several videos from this year's Victorian Days on YouTube.

Swim in Victorian-era swimsuits

Would you like to join in for a swim during the Victorian Days' Royal Dip?

Come and borrow a Victorian-era swimsuit in Paradisparken before 12:00 PM so you can join in when the swim starts. But remember to bring your own swimwear too, as the suits become somewhat see-through after being worn in water.

See you this weekend at the Victorian Days in Marstrand!

Where do the summer workers reside during this year's Victorian Days?

This year, you will be able to see our summer workers perform at various locations on Marstrand Island. At the bottom of the images in this post, you will find a map showing the different locations. You can also see the summer workers at their concert on August 5th at 6:00 PM in Marstrand Church.

The Market 2022

At this year's market during the Victorian Days, several different stands will be present, which you can see listed here along with a few more!

Elisabeth with her hand-painted glassware, candlesticks, and more in maritime motifs.

Welcome to Mimmi Textile - a modern tradition.
Mimmi Textile hand-weaves rag rugs and other interior decorations in a traditional way using recycled textiles and denim.
The craftsmanship features tasteful details that suit our contemporary home environments.

Vanessa Cheese with many delicious cheeses and perhaps sausages, go there and check it out and taste.

End of program brochure

Yesterday, the Victorian Days celebrated National Day in the Fortress Park, where we distributed this year's program brochure and sold jubilee books. All the program brochures were taken home by people, so more need to be printed.
Take the opportunity to grab a copy if you're out in Marstrand!

National Day

On June 6th, Sweden's National Day, the Victorian Days will celebrate with all of Kungälv in the center of Kungälv.

We will be in a tent in the fortress park by Bohus Fortress, distributing this year's program brochure for the Victorian Days, selling our Jubilee book, and dressed in our Victorian-era attire.

Come and stop by to hear about this year's spectacle out in Marstrand!

There are more activities to visit during National Day, such as Bohus and Carlsten's Fortress, which have free entry during the day, a lovely concert featuring David Carbe and students from the cultural school on a stage at Bohus Fortress, and Kungälv's Male Choir in the Crystal Hall at Marstrand.

See you there!
